Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Hemp Museum website and its services.
1. What This Site Is
The Hemp Museum is an independent, education-focused resource about hemp and cannabis — their history, science, industry, and culture. By using this site, you agree to these terms.
2. Not Medical, Legal, or Financial Advice
Nothing on this site — including our Research & Data pages, CBD and medical content, or any other section — is medical advice. It is educational information, sourced and cited where possible, but it is not a substitute for consulting a licensed doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified professional about your own health.
Similarly, nothing here is legal or financial advice about cannabis law, investing, or business formation. Laws around hemp and cannabis vary enormously by country and change frequently — verify current law in your own jurisdiction before acting on anything you read here.
3. Age & Jurisdiction
This site discusses cannabis, including non-industrial and recreational cultivars, in an educational context. It is intended for adults. If cannabis of any kind is illegal where you live, please follow your local law — this site does not sell, ship, or facilitate access to any controlled substance.
4. Membership & Payments
Two parts of the museum are reserved for members: the 3D Museum and the AI museum guide. Everything else — the collection, the research library, the glossary, the industry directory, the researcher profiles and the video gallery — is free and needs no account. Payments are handled by Allpay; once a payment clears, your access is granted to the browser you paid from and is kept there rather than in an account with a password. Clearing your browser data removes it, and you can restore it from the link in your payment confirmation or by writing to us. Refund and cancellation terms are set out in the Subscription Offer Agreement.
Contributions made through this site support our research and conservation work. The Hemp Museum is a commercial project and not a registered non-profit, so contributions are not tax-deductible.
5. Sponsorship & Editorial Independence
Companies can sponsor specific, clearly labeled areas of this site (seePartner With Us). Sponsorship never buys influence over our research, historical, or educational content — the same editorial standards described on ourStandards pageapply regardless of who supports us.
6. Content & Intellectual Property
Original text, design, and curation on this site are ours. Where we use third-party material (photographs, illustrations, embedded video), we credit the source and follow its license — see individual image captions and citations throughout the site. If you believe something is used incorrectly, contact us and we'll address it.
7. Third-Party Links & Directory Listings
Our Industry Directory lists companies and organizations for informational purposes. Listing does not imply endorsement, partnership, or a business relationship unless explicitly stated. We link to external sites throughout this site; we don't control and aren't responsible for their content.
8. No Warranty
This site is provided "as is." We work hard to keep facts accurate and sourced, but we don't guarantee the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly current — research and policy on this topic move quickly.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the site's functionality changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
